


Princess Cichlid
Princess Cichlids are pairing fish. They are an African Cichlid and also called the Fairy Cichlid. It’s a beautiful fish with a uniform beige coloration and distinct eye markings. Needs several hiding places (caves). Best kept in a small group with 6 or more. Juveniles up to 2.5 cm help guard younger siblings. Features of Princess Cichlids:
- Two black spots behind and below the eyes, along with a third spot of yellow-orange
- There are also highlights of metallic blue around the eyes and at the edge of the fins
The Best Aquarium Size for Princess Cichlid:
Princess cichlids are schooling fish. For a species only tank, a minimum of 75 litres is suggested. However, a larger tank of 200L or more would be required if mixing with other species.

Tank Mate Compatibility:
Princess cichlids can be kept in spacious aquariums with other medium-sized species, such as Julidochromis ornatus. However, it is preferable to keep them in a single-species group in a dedicated aquarium.
